What makes us sexually attracted to the opposite gender? (read below)?

For example, I think women are beautiful. BUT I can only be physically attracted to a woman. I can never be sexually or emotionally attracted to one (I’ve only had a “girl crush” if that counts). But to men, I am physically, emotionally, and sexually (I am a virgin but I only have sexual thoughts for men) attracted to them. Why is this? Women and men are so different? We hardly ever get along. Lol
Jane doe – that’s not necessarily true because there are people with looks, brains, and personality in both genders. People still choose the opposite gender and ONLY the opposite gender (unless they are gay). And even gay people still chose people of the same gender and ONLY the same gender.

We’re supposed to be. Procreation its that simple. The species must continue. Its the whole opposites attract thing, we look for a complimentary partner. For example take stereotypical masculine traits; ambition, competitive, dominant, practical. These are masculine traits objectively they are statistically more common in men and feature more prominently. If you contrast that with traits that are both statistically more female and culturally considered feminine; caring, kind, nurturing.
Notice that all of these traits are positive in different ways, none are “better” than others. We’re attracted to differences as well as similarities because we unconsciously seek a partner that can provide what we cannot for the resulting children.

How can extremely sexist men be attracted to women?

I just don’t get it. I’ve met some really really sexist men to the point where they hate me because I’m a girl.
However, they’re still straight.

If they hate women so much, how can they be attracted to them?

They’re heterosexual, so they’re physically and possibly romantically drawn to women, but they’re homosocial, meaning they’re socially and culturally attracted to other men.

Dating outside of your racial background?

I find myself attracted to white women as well as hispanic/latina women. Have you ever dated someone who is of a different ethnic background? What kind of interracial couples do you most commonly see where you live? Do you feel comfortable being in an interracial relationship? What do you love most about it?

I am personally attracted to all races. The interracial couples that are the most common to me are white/black couples as well as black/hispanic. I love interracial couples I think it’s beautiful, I love how interracial couples did not let race play a factor in their love for each other. Interracial couples can be widely looked down upon and I think it’s really sad. I’m half African American and half Native American and I’m proud of both.

Why is my taste in who I’m attracted too so much different then my friends?

Whenever me and my friends talk about girls we are attracted to. Or who we like or think is extremely attractive or hot. A lot of the time who they think is really hot I’m not really attracted too. Then people my friends think are not so attractive I think their beautiful. All my friends agree on who is hot and stuff like that. And I’m the only one who usually has a different opinion on what woman I think are attractive. My friends also go you must be gay if you don’t think she is very hot. So am I weird or are my friends just to afraid to have a different opinion then their friends.

How do you handle attraction to other women when you are engaged or in a serious relationship?

I’m recently engaged and I’m a young guy. I love my fiancé and would never dream of trading what we have for anything. But I cannot figure out how to rationalize my thinking when I come across another attractive woman. I’m definitely attracted to my fiancé, however when I run into a fox it’s really hard to stop thinking about how beautiful she is sometimes. I begin to think how I would love to get to know her, not even romantically but platonically, however I feel bad because I know that thinking is rooted in strong attraction to her. Is that wrong? How should I process thoughts and emotions when I come across another woman who is gorgeous? Again I would not trade my relationship with my fiancé for anything. Thanks for your time!

Well, if you love her like you say you do, you won’t act on these thoughts. It’s perfectlty natural to think other woman are attractive, even if you have a fiance. But it’s important to not act. You can look, but not touch. Just think about how you’d feel if you lost your fiance. Maybe that’ll help you to back off of these other girls. Hope this helps

How to attract an older woman?

So I’m a freshman in college and there is a girl in one of my classes thats a 5th year part time student which of whom I really like. I heard her mention she’s 23 years of age while I’m 18. We sit diagonal from each other and converse a little bit from time to time. Whenever I make comment or joke I swear I hear her comment under her breath saying “that’s cute”. Another thing that could just be in my head is her glancing over at me. The question is how do I attract/act around older women? I have never dealt with anyone more than 6 months older than me so I could use a little advice.

Why do some men specifically like larger women?

Now please don’t take this question offensively because I’m not trying to bash anyone! I have many friends that are on the larger side and I think they are beautiful people. I’m just curious as to why some men take a big interest in heavy set women (more specifically a fetish). What is it about them?

Well if you look at it as a fetish, maybe it’s because heavier women appear like they can’t take care of themselves, like they let themselves go, so the man is attracted to the idea that this woman will need some help. Or conversely it could show that the woman does whatever she wants (ie eats lots of food and doesn’t care how others think she looks), and the man likes the idea that the woman will be dominant. It’s not always necessarily a fetish though, maybe he’s just attracted to a bigger woman because curves and hips and breasts show that a woman is fertile and would be good at reproducing (that’s what men way back in the day were attracted to).

I’ve seen some of the strangest looking, skinniest, unhygentic men with these beautiful women. And to top it all off, some of them are complete a–holes. Or just plan rude. Why?

Those kind of guys attract the sl**** girls. You don’t want a s*** as a girlfriend, do you?? I am not at all like that. I’m more of a conservative girl, but I like to have fun every now and then. I’m attracted to the type of guys who are charming and are gentlemen. Guys who are good to their family and can offer me more than looks or a nice body. As long as your decent looking…you don’t have to have a six pack or anything!…and as long as your charming and treat the woman with respect you will attract the RIGHT kind of girl. Good luck!
